EOS Lipbalm in Medicated Tangerine Review

For the longest time I've been hearing great things about EOS Lipbalms but haven't picked one up yet until just last week! I purchased mine for about $3.50 in the flavor Tangerine. The tangerine flavor is also medicated to help with chapped lips and cold sores at the same time.

Ultimately I was attracted to this product because of how adorable it is. Not just the packaging, but the lip balm itself. I love that it's spherical and so unique from other conventional stick lip balms that I have approximately a million of. Its a bit large, and this won't be one you will be keeping in your pocket, but it's great in your purse. I don't have to fumble around forever trying to find that tiny tube chapstick. Instead, I can find this round little lipbalm almost instantly.

This lipbalm has a great claim as well that I find very interesting, but wonder if it's true-or possible. It claims that It has anti bacterial protection that can protect your body from the common cold or cough. Now, I personally don't see that as very possible, being as you only put it on your lips, not in your body. The cold, flu, or other viruses need to be broken down from the inside, not from the outside. The other claim is the protection against coldsores, which I hope is true, because I always seem to get a cold sore at the worst time!

As for moisturization properties, this lip balm makes the top spot on my list. For many lip balms, I find myself having to apply them nonstop in order to keep my lips moisturized. But with EOS, it locks in moisture, so even if you don't reapply the balm, your lips don't continue to become chapped. After I purchased this I ripped open the package immediately to try it because my lips were in terrible shape. A few hours later, I found that my lips were noticably smoother, softer, and now had minimal irriation.

When it comes to the scent, I find that EOS' medicated Tangerine scent is highly debated. Many people find that it smells unappealing due to the medicating properties. Yet from my personal opinion, this scent is nothing rancid and underlies the sweet, fresh smell of Tangerine. I love the scent of this lip balm, and although it would smell better without the medication I still enjoy it because I know it is keeping my lips protected from those dreaded coldsores ;)

If you're not sold on this lip balm already, let me just throw in one more thing that may just do it for you. EOS is 95% natural, gluten free, and not tested on animals. It is also paraben free. Hooray!! I think that EOS has easily become my favorite lip balm :)

What do you think of EOS lip balms? Do you have a favorite scent?
