EOTD: Silver & Sparkles

Hey beauties, I decided to do something a little different with my eyeshadow today-something a little bit more dramatic than my usual neutrals- and this is what I came up with! It is mainly silver with a bit of glitter on the lids (You can't see it in this picture :/ ) and winged eye liner.

List of Products Used:
1. Too Faced Shadow Insurance
2. NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Pots N Pans (As a base)
3. Revlon Diamond Lust Eyeshadow in Celestial Silver (All over lids) This is a gorgeous almost holographic glitter eyeshadow that I love.
4. Unmentionables E/S By Too Faced from the Naked Eye Palette (In the crease)
5. Maybelline Eye Studio Color Plush Eyeshadow Quad in Mocha Makeover (The deep silver/charcoal shade in the outer corner, the medium brown to blend out the top, and the light beige as a highlight.
6. L'Oreal Lineur Intense in Black
7. Revlon Lash Curler
8. L'Oreal False Fiber Lashes Mascara

For me, this is more of a night look, but It could be used during the day, depending on your preference. I opted out of lining my lower lash line to make it a bit more suitable for the day, but for night, I'd add a bit of smokey eyeliner or eyeshadow. I really liked how this came out and I hope you do too!

February Empties!

February is nearly over and that means spring is on its way!! It also means its time to show you beauties some of the products I have finished off this month. I didn't finish off very many unfortunatly, but theres always next month ;) I get a huge sense of satisfaction when something gets finished off because then I know my hard earned money is going into something that I am actually using!
The products I finished this month are: Clinque 7 day scrub, L'Oreal Lineur Intense, L'Oreal False Fiber Lashes Mascara, and Clean N Clear Morning Burst Skin Brightening Facial Cleanser.
Clinique 7 Day Scrub:I lovee this stuff! This is such an amazing exfoliator and it left my skin feeling baby soft! I have this in a trial size but it lasted me quite a long time since I didn't use it every day. I don't exfoliate daily, only a few times a week. I most likely will purchase this in the full size.

L'Oreal Lineur Intense: I already have a review of this product in my Five Must Have Beauty Products post, which you can find here. Bottom line: I looovve this stuff!

L'Oreal False Fiber Lashes Mascara: I am a huge fan of this mascara. I've seen tons and tons of reviews on this saying its a terrible mascara, but I think it's amazing! Many people dislike fiber mascaras, but they are one of my favorite. They add a ton of length and volume to my eyelashes that I wouldn't have otherwise and L'Oreal's mascara definitely does this! If you would like me to do a full review on this, I absolutely will, I bought another tube already ;)

Clean N Clear Morning Burst Skin Brightening Facial Cleanser: This stuff is so-so. It does an excellent job of removing my makeup thoroughly but I didn't notice any "Skin Brighting." And it really didn't wake me up like it claimed it would, Lol. I wouldn't repurchase this product, there are much better facial cleansers out there.

Hope you all liked my february empties! My February favorites will be soon to follow!

First Julep Box!

Hey everyone! I just got my very first Julep box and I'm so excited to share it with you all! While Julep was having their one cent promotion, I decided to try it. Why not? There wasn't much to lose. Unfortunatly, my credit card company wouldn't allow a one cent charge because they thought it was fraudulent. Luckily, somewhere on the internet I came across a code for a $1.00 Julep introductary box which wasn't bad either so I jumped right on it! I took their little quiz and I got "Bombshell." I recieved two nail polishes in the colors Viola and Oscar, plus a hair product and a sample of hand cream. It was all packaged so cute with a bow and paper..enough talking, I'll just show you some pictures!
Julep's "Oscar" as described by Julep: "Ultra chic, multidimensional gold glitter." Original Price $14.00.
Julep's "Viola" as described by Julep: "Deepest Dark Purple Creme." Original Price $14.00.
Julep's Top Coat for hair, as described by the Julep website "This hot new treatment works on your hair just like topcoat does for nails, leaving a lustrous, protective sheen. Multi-weight silicones protect against both thermal damage and the elements while smoothing, conditioning and sealing." Original Price $16.00.

All of these products look so amazing. I can't wait to paint my nails next, lol.

Color Club Worth The Risque

When it comes to nail polish, I adore holos and Color Club's Worth The Risque is the such a gorgeous one. It is a silver based polish with fine holo. It is a super easy formula to work with, and it is opaque in two coats. Worth The Risque is from the Femme Fatale collection in 2009, and along with it in that collection is another holo called Revvvolution. Revvvolution is a darker gray version of Worth the Risque that I really want to pick up!
For some reason my camera had a hard time picking up how gorgeous the holo really is. It is a little more true in the second photo.

Do you like Holos? If so, which is your favorite?

Five Must Have Beauty Products (Makeup)

Hi everyone! I just wanted to share with you today my five must have beauty products. I'm doing makeup today, and probably will do this again soon with non makeup items such as hair products, body products, etc. These products have definitely stood the test of time for me, and they deserved to be called "Must haves!" These are in no particular order, as I love them all evenly!

Number One: L'Oreal Lineur Intense Liquid Eyeliner
This eyeliner is so amazing! It makes it super easy to create precise, thin lines, or thick ones. I don't ever find myself having to reapply this eyeliner as it lasts through a nine hour work day with no cracking, fading or smudging. I have tried numerous other liquid eyeliners and found that no others even come close to this one. I find myself repurchasing L'Oreals eyeliner time after time again. For me, no look is complete without it!

Number Two: Covergirl Trio In Shimmering Sands
Covergirl really did an amazing job with this trio. It is so easy to create a glamourous yet natural everyday look with this, and I find myself using it often. The colors are super pigmented and compliment any skintone. Before this, I haven't found any Covergirl eyeshadows that have impressed me, but this trio is absolutly fantastic. It includes a pinky nude, a light brown/champagne, and a medium frosty brown. All three colors are great for everyday wear to work, school, or wherever!

Number Three: Milani Easy Liner For Eyes Glitter in Terra Brown
I picked this up at the sale that CVS had on many Milani products. It was only about $1.80 so I thought, "If I hate it, no big deal." But turns out I love it. I wish I picked up a second one because I know this is going to go quick, the amount that I use it! This eyeliner is a gorgeous metallic brown with lots of silver glitter. I love to use this in multiple ways; on the lower lash line, upper lash line, or even all over the eye lid. Milani's glitter eyeliner is super creamy and extremely pigmented. Its a great alternative to heavy black eyeliner. I won't even hestitate when it comes time to buy this baby again at full price!

Number Four: Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Sin
Another necessity in my makeup routine, Urban Decays Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Sin is a fabulous eye primer. It is a beautiful champagne color and it allows your eyeshadow to last all day without ever creasing. My eyeshadow is more vibrant as well when I use this before hand. I have used other eye primers such as elf's eye primer, but it doesn't make the colors as vibrant as this does. At $18.00 each, this may seem a bit expensive, but trust me, it is definitely worth it!

Number Five: Milani Minerals Compact Makeup
This is another product I picked up at CVS' sale on Milani. I love setting my liquid foundation with powder and I find that it is hard to find one that I like. Another hit for Milani, I love this one! It gives extra coverage and adds a matte finish to your face by controlling oil. This lasts a long time and keeps my face shine free through long days at work.

Hope you enjoyed my must have beauty products! Do you share any of the same must haves?

EOTD: Gold & Gems

Hey everyone! I was just playing around today and created this look. I wasnt too fond of how it came out, but I thought I'd share it with you lovelies anyways! This isn't something I'd wear out, but I was just having fun with different products and combinations (because thats half the fun of makeup!) The combination Reminded me of gold and gems because the the gold crease color and the duochrome eyeshadow of Emeralds :P (Cheesy I know!!)

Products Used:
1) Elf Eyeshadow Primer in Sheer
2) L'Oreal HIP Pigment in Intrepid all over lid (This is a beautiful duochrome, a great dupe for MAC's blue brown pigment!
3) A gold eyeshadow from a Profusion palette in the crease, but any gold shadow would do!
4) Physicians Formula Canyon Classics Quad (The light matte brown to blend out any harsh lines)
5) Revlon Eyelash Curlerr
6) Maybelline Colossal Mascara in Blackest Black

Hope you all like it! Let me know if you'd like to see any looks!

Rave Review: Bare Minerals Flawless Definition Volumizing Mascara

Hey everyone! Hope you're all having a great day today :)

I just have to tell you about this mascara that I'm in love with. I got it not too long ago free with my order from sephora with a promo code. I put it with all my other makeup when I received it and completely forgot about it until today! Let me tell you, this is one mascara you can not forget about!

Packaging and Brush:
The brush is a regular brush with bristles, none of that rubber stuff! The downside to it is that it is huge and it is difficult to reach the inner eyelashes with it without making a mess.

Heres the results I got with it! (All on uncurled lashes to show you any curling effects it may have)

One Coat:

Two Coats:

Three Coats:

This mascara is perfect at two coats. It is defining, lengthening, and volumizing. It gives a tiny bit of a curl, but I would recommend using an eyelash curler anyways. It starts to clump at three coats, but no need to go that far. Two coats gives the perfect, most amazing and "flawless" lashes. I can't wait to order the full size of this product. HG ♥

Also! I have my first Julep box on the way, can't wait til it arrives and I can show it to you guys!

Nicole By OPI Rainbow In The S-Kylie

Hi everyone, just wanted to share a gorgeous nail look with you today!

Nicole by OPI Recently came out with a line of new colors dedicated to the Kardashians. Now personally, I am not a big fan of the Kardashians, but the colors are stunning. I used one of the very first Nicole by OPI nail polishes in Believe It, Do It for my base color. Believe It, Do It is a gorgeous bright fuschia. I don't believe it is sold anymore, but its one of the gems in my collection. This applies smoothly and needs two coats to be completely opaque.

Over that, I layered the color from the Kardashian collection that I picked up called Rainbow in the S-Kylie. Rainbow in the S-Kylie is a multi-color chunky glitter that is absolutly stunning. I love how these two polishes look together, I can't stop staring at my nails!

Hope you love this look as much as I do!

Product Review: Gold Bond Sheer Ribbons Body Lotion

A product that myself (And my dry skin) have been loving lately is Gold Bond Sheer Ribbons Body Lotion in Silk Softness. This is a wonderful lotion that moisturizes even the driest skin with no problem! This lotion is very innovative as well, the pump is very unique, it has two spots where the lotion comes out. They are thin in shape so the product comes out looking like "ribbons." It claims to have seven moisturizers and natural silk protiens in it for the ultimate skin hydration experience!

Pros:
Moisturizing
Creamy (I love lotions like this)
Unique Idea
Price (About $7.00-$8.00)
Scent (A light, sweet floral)
Availability (Available at drugstores and retail stores such as Walmart)

Cons:
Not very fast absorbing

As you can see, the Pros strongly outweigh the cons!

Here you can see how the "ribbons" effect is created.

The ribbons line also carries another variation Called Pearl Radiance that gives skin a beautiful yet natural glow. I'd definitely recommend checking out this lotion, you won't be disappointed, and your skin will thank you!

China Glaze Aquadelic

I just picked up this nail polish at Ulta for $7.00. I love China Glaze nail polish and this one was no different. Aquadelic is a beautiful turquoise cream, similar to China Glaze's For Audrey, but a bit more vibrant & green toned. The formula is smooth and not overly streaky, but you will need two coats to get a completely even application. This polish is part of China Glaze's Electropop collection; probably my favorite collection they have ever come out with! It is full of bright vibrant shades and beautiful pastels, perfect for spring and summer (Which is quickly approaching!) Id recommend checking out this collection, and shade in particular. Its so worth it!!

Today I went to Ulta for the first time. Seriously. I have never been to one. There were never any in my area, so when I decided to take a trip to the mall, I noticed they had built one right across the street! Granted, its a forty five minute drive, but its better than nothing! When I went into Ulta I was amazed. I had never imagined how great it was! It has everythingg and I ended up spending like $45 -__- So much for holding back on buying more makeup and nail polish.

Current Skincare Routine!

Hey Everyone, I decided to do a post showing you how I take care of my skin. First, a background on it. My skin is combination; It has some dry spots, but during the day it gets very oily. I get breakouts quite often across my forehead and on my chin. I use products mainly to combat acne and keep my skin moisturized after using acne products. I split up my routine into two sections- morning and night ♥

MORNING:

Olay Moisture Replenishing Mousse Cleanser-This is what I use on a daily basis (Morning and Night) to wash my face. This leaves my face feeling soft and clean. I find that it doesn't leave an annoying residue behind like many cleansers do.

CVS Pharmacy Apricot Scrub-This is the store brand of St Ives Apricot Scrub. I use this two or three times a week for exfoliation, as it may be too harsh to use everyday.

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion-This is my daily moisturizer. It makes my skin so soft and does a great job at combating dry skin!

Clearasil Rapid Action Treatment Cream-I use this on days that I have to spot treat. I found this at the dollar store and knew I had to try it for so cheap! I'm glad I did because it does a great job at shrinking pimples and making them going away faster.

NIGHT:

Physicians Formula Eye Makeup Remover Lotion-I use this every night to remove my eye makeup. You simply apply it to a cotton pad and rub it gently over your eye to remove the makeup. It is more gentle than a regular makeup remover and leaves your skin soft.

Clinque Acne Solutions Clearing Moisturizer-This is the moisturizer I use at night to help clear up acne and prevent new spots from forming. I find that this does a great job but is a bit drying.

Clinque Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion-I love this product for combating acne, it works so well! I use this every other night or as needed because like the moisturizer from this line, it is drying.

Lumene Dry Skin Comfort Radiance Cocktail-This product is amazing! I use it when I have extra dry skin and concentrate it in those spots. It moisturizes amazingly. I have found that it also helps reduce redness of the face, such as on the cheeks. I have been using this on my cheeks nightly and my skin is much less red.

So there we have it! My skin care routine. It is definitely simple, but it has been working for me. It changes often so I will probably be doing another post on it sooner or later.
